Our client is an established organisation modernising its core systems and advancing its hybrid cloud setup. Joining a close unit of fewer than 10 people in the infrastructure team, you will report directly to the Infrastructure Head and connect day to day IT operations with modern cloud practices.Discover the role As a Cloud and DevOps Engineer, you will maintain cloud systems, automate pipelines, and ensure infrastructure remains stable, scalable, and secureYou will manage Kubernetes clusters, oversee deployment pipelines, and support foundational infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, alongside Azure Active DirectoryWorking alongside application and security teams, you will help build an efficient, modern technology environmentDiscover the responsibilities Manage and monitor cloud environments, including provisioning, scaling, and decommissioning resourcesSet up and manage Kubernetes clusters on Azure Kubernetes ServiceMaintain cloud uptime, performance, and workload stabilityIdentify performance issues and optimise infrastructure resource usageTrack cloud spend and introduce cost reduction measuresSet up disaster recovery and business continuity setups using Azure Site Recovery or comparable toolsBuild and support continuous integration and deployment pipelinesAutomate operational tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting alongside Ansible and TerraformUse Infrastructure as Code practices for reliable, repeatable environment buildsConfigure monitoring, log aggregation, and alerting with tools like Prometheus and GrafanaCoordinate with security teams to apply access controls, network security groups, system patches, and compliance updatesDiscover the requirements Proven background in cloud administration and automation workflowsPractical experience with Kubernetes, specifically on Azure Kubernetes ServiceStrong scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShellDemonstrated experience with Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration managementWorking knowledge of server administration, network security, and Azure Active DirectoryHands-on experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus and GrafanaPrevious work experience within the banking or financial services sector is an advantage
