They are looking for a DevOps & Release Engineer to help drive automation, cloud adoption, and best-practice DevOps processes across a growing technology function.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with AWS and DevOps experience who wants to work in a modern cloud-first environment, supporting both traditional and serverless architectures while influencing engineering standards and ways of working.The RoleAs a DevOps & Release Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes. You'll work closely with software engineers and business stakeholders to ensure systems are scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective.Key responsibilities include:Designing and supporting AWS-based infrastructure and services.Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.Driving DevOps best practices, including version control, automation, repeatability, and infrastructure as code.Supporting cloud-native and microservices-based architectures.Managing and improving development, testing, pre-production, and production environments.Automating operational tasks and system administration activities wherever possible.Monitoring platform performance, availability, security, and costs.Supporting release management processes and production deployments.Producing clear technical documentation and operational procedures.Evaluating new tools and technologies to improve efficiency and delivery.Required Skills & ExperienceWe're interested in candidates with experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, or Software Engineering environment.You should have experience with:AWS cloud servicesCI/CD pipelines and release automationInfrastructure as Code and configuration managementGit-based version control and branching strategiesLinux administrationDocker containersScripting and automation using Python, Bash, YAML, JSON, or similar technologiesSoftware Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practicesCloud-based application environments and microservices architecturesStrong experience with AWS services such as:EC2ECSLambdaAPI GatewayRDSDynamoDBS3VPCCloudFormationDesirable ExperienceAny of the following would be beneficial:JenkinsJira, Confluence and BitbucketAnsible or similar automation toolsPostgreSQL, Snowflake, DynamoDB or other database technologiesElasticsearchApache Spark / EMRMonitoring, alerting and capacity management toolsWindows administrationTraditional infrastructure technologies including networking, compute and storageWhat We're Looking ForStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication skillsA proactive and self-motivated mindsetPassion for automation and continuous improvementAbility to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong organisational skills and attention to detailIf this role sounds like a good fit or you'd like to learn more then please apply or reach out to t.oreilly@tech-ohana.com
