Job Title: DevOps Engineer – Crypto Trading Platform InfrastructureExperience: 4+ YearsLocation: Dubai / HybridEmployment Type: Full-timeDepartment: Engineering / Infrastructure & DevOpsAbout the RoleWe are looking for a DevOps Engineer to own and manage the cloud infrastructure supporting our institutional-grade crypto trading platform. The role will cover AWS infrastructure, networking, CI/CD, security, observability, application operations, and high-availability systems supporting 24/7 crypto market operations.You will work closely with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to build secure, scalable, highly available, and low-latency environments across Production, Staging, and Development.Key ResponsibilitiesManage AWS infrastructure across Production, Staging, and Development, including EC2, VPCs, subnets, security groups, IAM, and private networking.Configure and maintain load balancers, Cloudflare, DNS, WAF, caching, DDoS protection, and VPN connectivity.Deploy, configure, and manage Kafka and Redis, including Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, retention, Redis clustering, persistence, and performance tuning.Deploy and operate Node.js/NestJS backend and Next.js frontend applications, including scaling, configuration, performance tuning, and zero-downtime deployments.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated builds, testing, deployment gates, rollbacks, and release tracking.Implement and maintain monitoring and observability using Prometheus and Grafana, including dashboards, alerts, and centralized log analysis.Implement strong security and access controls, including IAM, least-privilege access, secrets management, encryption, network security, and secure remote access.Design and maintain high-availability, backup, failover, recovery, and disaster-recovery mechanisms.Monitor system performance, latency, capacity, resource utilization, and infrastructure costs.Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation and configuration management using Ansible.Manage Docker-based environments and support Kubernetes deployments.Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and post-incident improvements.Develop automation scripts using Bash and Python.Maintain clear infrastructure documentation and ensure environments are reproducible and auditable.Support secure infrastructure for crypto exchange connectivity and blockchain-facing workloads.Required Skills & Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, or a similar role.Strong practical experience with AWS, especially:EC2VPCSubnetsSecurity GroupsIAMLoad BalancersMulti-environment infrastructureStrong Linux administration and networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and private networking.Production experience with Kafka and Redis.Experience operating Node.js applications; NestJS and Next.js experience is preferred.Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent.Hands-on experience with Cloudflare, DNS, WAF, caching, and DDoS protection.Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, monitoring, alerting, and centralized logging.Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform; CloudFormation is acceptable.Experience with Ansible or similar configuration-management tools.Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications; Kubernetes familiarity is required.Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, encryption, and network security.Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or Python.Basic understanding of blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructure, including exchange connectivity, 24/7 availability, and secure handling of sensitive credentials/secrets.Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsAWS certification such as AWS Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.Experience supporting high-load, high-traffic, real-time production systems.Experience in crypto exchanges, trading platforms, fintech, or other low-latency environments.Experience with low-latency networking, performance tuning, or exchange-proximity infrastructure.Production experience with Kubernetes, service mesh, or advanced orchestration.Exposure to Azure or multi-cloud environments.Experience with AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, or similar secrets-management platforms.Experience working in 24/7 on-call and incident-management environments.P99soft is an equal-opportunity employerP99soft is an equal-opportunity employer.
