It is also active in lifestyle collaborations, home furnishings, and unique haute couture segments.Position Overview: The Business Analyst & Controller will play a pivotal role in shaping commercial strategy through comprehensive data analysis, accurate forecasting, and effective inventory management. This role involves not only driving local decision-making but also coordinating with distributors across the Middle East region. By synthesizing market trends, historical data, and sales targets, this individual will ensure optimal product availability, minimize stockouts and overstocks, and support decision-making processes that drive growth and profitability.Business Analysis & Reporting:Analyze sales performance, product mix, and channel profitability using comprehensive business intelligence tools.Generate regular reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive positioning.Identify key growth opportunities and advise cross-functional teams on pricing strategies, product range optimization, and promotional effectiveness.Communicate, consolidate, and challenge budget owners to ensure commitments are met (Sales / OpEx / CapEx).Work closely with the commercial team to define rolling three-month targets on a monthly basis for HQ.Update the article and distribution databases on a daily basis.Maintain a Power BI dashboard providing a holistic view of the business unit (Invoicing, Wholesale, Sell-Out, Stock, and Forecast).Regional Coordination & Distributor Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for distributors across the Middle East region, ensuring clear communication of forecasts, product availability, and delivery timelines.Collaborate with distributors to gather market insights, sales feedback, and consumer trends, integrating this information into regional demand plans.On a monthly basis, support local teams in monitoring distributors’ Advertising & Promotion (A&P) expenses, ensuring alignment with the budget.Audit distributors’ expenses and validate amounts in the context of annual overinvestment calculations.Process Improvement & Strategic Support:Continuously seek out opportunities to enhance forecasting processes, implement best practices, and leverage advanced analytical techniques.Contribute to the development of short- and long-term business strategies, participating in budgeting and planning processes.Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on business objectives, as well as with external partners and vendors to maintain a resilient supply network.Performance Management:Develop, maintain, and refine demand forecasts for fragrances and makeup lines, incorporating both quantitative data and qualitative market insights.Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align forecasts with promotional activities, product launches, and seasonal sales fluctuations.Monitor forecast accuracy and continuously adjust models to improve reliability and responsiveness.Manage stock levels across multiple distribution points, ensuring optimal inventory availability while minimizing excess stock and associated costs.Work with the procurement team to determine reorder points, safety stocks, and replenishment strategies to meet anticipated sales demand.Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to improve lead times, reduce costs, and mitigate supply risks.Ensure proper monitoring of invoicing and achievement of monthly sales objectives (invoicing and returns).Validate the relevance of price increases and maintain updated price lists in compliance with contractual agreements.Act as the primary contact between HQ’s BI team and SAP teams to ensure smooth data integration across systemsQualifications & Experience:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in forecasting, or business analysis within the beauty, luxury goods, or FMCG sectors. Experience in the Middle East market is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with business intelligence tools of (Power BI is a must ) and statistical forecasting software.Analytical Abilities: Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus. Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate cross-functionally.Adaptability & Cultural Awareness: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong understanding of regional consumer preferences and cultural nuances.
