This position involves conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments, developing individualized care plans, and providing ongoing nutritional counseling for patients with various medical conditions and health goals. The Dietitian will deliver medical nutrition therapy, monitor patient progress, and adjust interventions as needed in coordination with other healthcare providers. Daily responsibilities also include documenting clinical encounters, educating patients and families on practical nutrition strategies, and supporting weight management and preventive health initiatives within the practice.QualificationsStrong foundation in Dietetics and Nutrition, with the ability to apply current evidence-based guidelines in clinical practice.Proficiency in Nutritional Counseling, including motivational interviewing and patient education tailored to diverse backgrounds.Experience providing Medical Nutrition Therapy for chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and obesity.Skills in Weight Management, including designing realistic, sustainable plans and monitoring outcomes over time.Relevant credentials such as Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) or eligibility, and state licensure or ability to obtain licensure in New York as required.Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.Comfort working on-site with patients of varied ages, cultures, and health statuses; prior outpatient or medical practice experience is beneficial.Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of nutrition research and guidelines.
