JOB TITLEDigital Arts Research Assistant — Artists, Galleries & Cultural InstitutionsABOUT THE JOBDe Art is an independent digital media platform dedicated to visual arts, artists, and cultural expression.We are looking for a curious and organized Digital Arts Research Assistant to support editorial research and help expand our knowledge of artists, galleries, museums, and cultural institutions.The role involves collecting information from reliable sources, organizing research materials, identifying relevant subjects for future coverage, and supporting the editorial team with accurate background information.The ideal candidate has strong research skills, an interest in visual arts, and the ability to turn scattered information into clear, structured research records.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research artists, galleries, museums, art organizations, and cultural initiatives.
• Collect and organize publicly available information from reliable sources.
• Prepare concise research summaries for editorial planning.
• Identify artists, exhibitions, and cultural subjects that may be relevant to De Art's audience.
• Verify basic information, including names, locations, dates, and institutional details.
• Maintain structured databases and research spreadsheets.
• Record source links and supporting references for collected information.
• Assist editors in preparing background notes for articles and features.
• Monitor relevant developments in the visual arts and cultural sectors.
• Help maintain consistent research documentation and information quality.QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in research, editorial assistance, digital media, or a related field is an advantage.
• Strong information-gathering and organizational skills.
• Excellent written communication and the ability to summarize information clearly.
• Genuine interest in visual arts, art history, galleries, museums, or cultural institutions.
• Ability to assess online sources and distinguish reliable information from unsupported claims.
• Familiarity with spreadsheets and digital research tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
• Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
• Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
