Together, we will become the world's leading cancer reference laboratory.Position Summary:The Digital Pathology Specialist is responsible for performing and coordinating activities that support AI-enabled digital pathology operations across the enterprise. This role executes system implementations, validations, technical integrations, and operational support activities related to whole slide imaging (WSI), image management systems (IMS), and image analysis algorithms. The Digital Pathology Specialist works closely with the Enterprise Head of Digital Pathology, Operations, Medical Services, Information Technology, and external vendors to implement, validate, maintain, and optimize digital pathology solutions and AI-enabled technologies across enterprise operations.Core Responsibilities:Lead instrument and system installation and validation strategies along with execution for AI-enabled digital pathology, working with key stakeholders such as Operations, Medical and DTSCollaborate on the design and schedule validation study plans with Operations and Medical services across all operational sitesServe as the operational lead for all digital pathology scanning initiatives, coordinating activities across Operations, IT, Digital Pathology, Medical Services, and external vendorsPrepare high-quality and timely reports to document development activities and system performanceAct as the primary point of contact for scanner vendors, image management system (IMS) vendors, and internal stakeholders during deployments and upgradesEnsure site readiness activities are completed prior to scanner installation, including network connectivity, storage connectivity, and integration testingLead algorithm validation activities to support operational implementationOversee transfer to clinical production including lab staff training as neededAnticipate and troubleshoot test performance, workflow, and instrumentation issuesLead design, preparation and implementation of IQ/OQ/PQ reports with cross-functional stakeholdersParticipate in IT development of AI-enabled equipment and toolsCollaborate with Operations on the preparation of department forms and SOPs in accordance with regulatory, medical and operational requirementsParticipate in site and department audits as applicableTravel: At least 20-30% requiredExperience, Education and Qualifications:Two (2) or more years of experience in Digital Pathology, Laboratory, and/or Information Technology experienceHT/HTL (ASCP) preferredKnowledge of CAP Whole Slide Imaging (WSI) validation guidelines and related digital pathology standards, guidance documents, and best practicesExperience with digital pathology scanners, image management systems, and AI/image analysis platformsSolid understanding of laboratory techniquesAdvanced knowledge of regulatory requirementsDetail-oriented with ability to capture and record complex scientific data accurately and reliably
