Digital Transformation Senior Consultant - Solutions Developer

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop custom digital solutions, applications, automation tools, APIs, integrations, and technology prototypes based on client requirements.Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications, solution designs, development plans, and working software.Develop solutions using Python and other appropriate programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.Develop and integrate REST APIs, web services, databases, data pipelines, and third-party platforms as required by client solutions.Build proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate technology concepts, demonstrate feasibility, and support client decision-making.Design and develop solutions leveraging AI, Generative AI, intelligent automation, analytics, and other emerging technologies where appropriate.Collaborate with Business Analysts and Functional Consultants to clarify requirements and ensure solutions address the intended business outcomes.Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.Apply software engineering practices covering version control, documentation, testing, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.Identify opportunities to improve existing solutions through automation, optimization, reusable components, and modern technology approaches.Support integration of custom solutions with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or other client systems.Lead technical workstreams and provide guidance, coaching, and code review support to Associates and junior developers.Work with Solution Architects and senior technology professionals to ensure technical solutions are aligned with the overall transformation and enterprise architecture.Support client demonstrations, workshops, proof-of-concepts, proposals, and business development activities.Contribute to reusable KPMG accelerators, solution components, development frameworks, and digital assets that can be leveraged across engagements.Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously evaluate new tools, frameworks, platforms, and development approaches relevant to digital transformation.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or other technology-related disciplines.Typically 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in software development, solutions development, technology consulting, digital engineering, automation, or related fields.Strong hands-on programming experience, particularly in Python.Demonstrated experience developing custom applications, APIs, integrations, automation solutions, or digital products.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, object-oriented programming, databases, APIs, version control, testing, and debugging.Experience translating functional requirements into technical designs and working solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to understand complex business and technology challenges.Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development environments.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to lead technical workstreams and mentor junior developers.Experience in consulting, professional services, system integration, or client-facing technology environments is an advantage.
