A Snapshot of Your DayAs a Factory Digital Twin Developer at Siemens Energy, with expertise in Plant Simulation (PlantSim) and IoT integration, you will support the BVT (Blades & Vanes) Expansion project within the Operations Tampa manufacturing facility. The primary business objective is to leverage advanced automation and artificial intelligence to enhance operational efficiency, increase productivity, and support the growth of manufacturing capabilities. We are looking for a highly skilled professional to drive the development of scalable, cloud-based digital twin solutions for manufacturing environments. This role will focus on designing cloud-native architectures, integrating real-time IoT data, and building simulation models to optimize plant operations, improve throughput, and enable predictive analytics.How You’ll Make an ImpactDevelop and maintain digital twin models using Siemens Plant Simulation (PlantSim) or equivalent tools.Develop APIs and data pipelines to connect digital twins with enterprise systems (ERP, MES, CMMS) while integrating real-time data from sensors, PLCs, SCADA, and MES systems into simulation environmentsCollaborate with manufacturing, automation, and data science teams to model and simulate production lines.Enable predictive and prescriptive analytics through simulation and machine learning integration.Ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure for digital twin deployments.Monitor system performance and continuously improve simulation accuracy and cloud efficiency.Ensure data governance, quality, and integrity for all datasets used in AI training and operational analytics.Collaborate with IT and OT teams to manage both cloud and on‑premise infrastructure supporting AI development and deployment.What You BringBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and digital twin development in manufacturing.Proficiency in Siemens Plant Simulation (PlantSim) or similar discrete event simulation tools.Strong technical capabilities in Python, SQL, automation, software engineering concepts, and integrating applications through APIs.Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).Familiarity with IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC UA), edge computing, and industrial connectivity.This position may require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position.Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
