Apply & track with Apply EdgeConfidential search — client not disclosedTHE ROLEPosition CFO EuropeSector Energy / Renewables — international groupLocation Paris, FranceReporting to Group CFOScope Several European countriesOUR CLIENTOur client is a leading European IPP specializing in Renewable Energy.The Group is scaling its finance function to match its ambitions, and is therefore looking to appoint a CFO Europe to lead and further develop its regional Finance organization.Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will have responsibility for the Finance function across Europe, overseeing a multi-country finance team and acting as a key strategic partner to the region's operational and leadership teams.This is a high-visibility, hands-on role within a fast-growing, high-investment organisation, offering the opportunity to shape and structure the Finance function as the Group continues to scale.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a trusted financial advisor to operational and leadership teams across all geographies, supporting decision-making and value creation.
- Financial Reporting & Consolidation: Oversee management reporting, consolidation, and financial performance monitoring across the regional perimeter.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Project Finance: Support project financing activities and financial modelling for development and operational assets.
- Tax & Transfer Pricing: Manage tax compliance and transfer pricing strategies across relevant jurisdictions.
- Transactional Accounting: Ensure the quality and efficiency of transactional finance operations (AP, AR, GL).
- Team Leadership & Development: Coach and develop the finance team, building a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and psychological safety.
- Financial Systems: Drive optimisation of the group's financial systems and tools.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with Group Finance and international counterparts within the group's shared-services framework.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with significant exposure to a multi-country European scope.
- Experience in the energy, infrastructure, or project finance sector is strongly preferred, particularly in organisations combining development and operational activities.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing finance teams, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.
- Proven ability to operate in a high-investment growth environment, with a focus on building financial structures rather than cost-cutting.
- Strong knowledge of tax and transfer pricing across at least one of the jurisdictions within the scope.
- Experience with financial ERP systems is a plus.
- Academic background in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Engineering; a professional qualification (CPA, CFA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an asset.COMPETENCIES & KEY QUALITIES

- French: Fluent (required for local operations).
- English: Fluent (mandatory for daily communication with the group and international stakeholders).
