Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout BHMR StudiosBHMR Studios Private Limited is a design and custom software development studio serving SMBs and funded startups through Series B, across international markets including the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia, UAE, and Singapore. We're a founder-led, fast-moving team building a category-defining design and development practice and we're now building out our business development function from the ground up.The OpportunityMost companies hiring a "Director of Business Development" actually want a senior salesperson with a fancier title. We don't. This is a growth-architect role: you'll decide where BHMR Studios should expand within UK & Ireland, build the commercial infrastructure the entire function will run on, and personally own the revenue while you do it. There is no existing pipeline, CRM, or playbook to inherit, you build all of it, while recruiting and onboarding your first regional hire within your first month, in parallel with your own selling. As revenue and the team scale, you'll grow into leading a full multi-territory department, with a genuine, milestone-linked path to Senior Director or VP within 1–2 years. What You'll OwnShape the Growth ThesisDecide which UK & Ireland segments, deal types, and where it makes sense, partner or channel routes are worth pursuing, and be just as clear about what you're deliberately not pursuing.Own the Territory & Build the FunctionPersonally run full-cycle commercial execution - outbound, discovery, proposals, closing, account management while standing up the CRM, SOPs, and forecasting cadence that make it repeatable.Assess delivery feasibility before committing to a deal, you own whether something can be delivered and renewed, not just whether it can be signed.Build & Lead the Team, Starting ImmediatelyRecruiting for your first regional hire begins within your first month, alongside your own selling. As each hire ramps, you'll onboard, manage, and mentor them personally. What We're Looking ForEvidence of cross-functional execution: You've worked across sales, delivery, finance, or legal to get commercial work done, not sold in isolation.Real commercial judgment: You can describe a deal or opportunity you deliberately walked away from, and why, as readily as one you won.Partnership or channel-building depth is a strong plus: Alliances or market-entry plays, not just managed named accounts.Strong systems instincts: You build SOPs and CRM discipline as a habit, not an afterthought.Comfort operating in a high-ownership, high-ambiguity, founder-led environment.Immediate availability: Able to start within 1–2 weeks. We're not able to accommodate long notice periods for this hire.Ahmedabad-based: This role is open only to candidates currently based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. We are not considering candidates outside Ahmedabad for this position. As this is a senior leadership hire, you will work closely with the Founder & CEO, particularly during the initial phase, with an expectation of 2–3 in-person syncs per week to establish context, alignment, and operating rhythm.Zero-to-one commercial experience: You have built something from a genuinely blank canvas, whether that means closing your first client with no existing logos, establishing the company's first channel or white-label partnership, or creating commercial credibility for a brand-new business with little or no market presence. As part of our process, we ask finalist candidates for 2–3 direct references who can speak to your revenue results, your leadership, and how a former senior would describe your work.Working StructureWorking days: Monday–FridayWork setup: Work from anywhere, with the exception of the required in-person collaboration in Ahmedabad during the initial phaseWorking hours: UK business hours, with additional overlap as required by your team, clients, or business prioritiesFounder collaboration: Initially, expect 2–3 in-person working sessions per week with the Founder & CEO, this may evolve as the operating rhythm and level of autonomy are established.Compensation & GrowthCompensation is structured around three components: fixed pay reflecting the scope and leadership complexity of the role, variable pay tied to efficient, serviceable growth rather than closed revenue alone, and long-term upside tied to what you build lasting. Full details are shared during the interview process. How to ApplySend your resume along with a short note covering the following:Your first channel or white-label partnership: Tell us about the first time you initiated and closed a channel partnership or white-label partnership with an agency when the company had zero existing partnerships. How did you identify the opportunity, build trust, and get the agency to take a chance on the business?Building trust from zero: How have you established credibility as a Director or senior leader when representing a brand-new company with no market presence?Your first-ever closed deal: Tell us about the first deal you closed in a true zero-logo environment. What did you do to create enough conviction for someone to buy?Building the sales machine: Tell us about your experience setting up SOPs, sales processes, pipeline stages, qualification frameworks, CRM workflows, reporting, and sales operating cadence from scratch. What did you put in place, and why?Your CRM: Which CRM do you currently use or have the most hands-on experience with? Tell us how you have actually used it to run and manage a sales process. Please keep the note concise and specific. We are far more interested in what you personally built, initiated, changed, and closed than in general descriptions of your responsibilities. Send your application to careers@bhmrstudios.com.
