Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe Director – Business Intelligence will lead the organisation’s business and market intelligence agenda, providing senior leadership with actionable insights on market trends, competitive dynamics, customer behaviour, industry developments and business performance.The role will combine market intelligence, commercial analytics and strategic insights to support business growth, identify emerging opportunities, anticipate market shifts and strengthen competitive positioning.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead the organisation’s Business & Market Intelligence strategy, aligned with strategic and commercial priorities.Monitor and analyse market trends, industry developments, competitor activity, customer behaviour and economic factors impacting the business.Provide senior leadership with clear, forward-looking insights to support strategic and commercial decision-making.Lead competitive intelligence activities, including competitor benchmarking, market positioning, pricing trends, capacity and service developments.Identify emerging market opportunities, risks and trends and translate these into actionable business recommendations.Develop market intelligence reports, executive dashboards, market outlooks and strategic presentations for senior stakeholders.Analyse market size, growth potential, customer segments, industry dynamics and geographic opportunities.Support business units with insights to identify opportunities for revenue growth, market expansion and customer acquisition.Partner with Commercial, Strategy, Finance, Operations and other business functions to understand key business questions and provide data-driven recommendations.Develop and maintain relevant market, competitor and industry intelligence databases.Establish frameworks for tracking key market and competitive indicators.Conduct scenario analysis and forecasting to support strategic planning and business decisions.Evaluate external market developments, including regulatory, economic, technological and geopolitical factors relevant to the industry.Lead research and analysis for new markets, investments, partnerships, acquisitions and strategic initiatives.Present complex market and business information in a clear and compelling manner to executive leadership.Lead and develop a high-performing Business Intelligence/Market Intelligence team.Manage relationships with external research providers, industry analysts, consultants and data providers.
