Director Clinical Operations (China)

We are partnered with a growing company that is seeking a Director of Clinical Operations. They are looking for an experienced Clinical Operations leader to establish and expand their APAC Clinical Operations team, offering a strong opportunity to define regional strategy, build operational infrastructure, and drive long-term growth.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all Clinical Operations activities within the assigned region, ensuring the successful execution of Phase I–IV clinical trials.Manage and mentor Site Directors, ensuring the timely start-up, monitoring, and execution of clinical studies in accordance with study protocols, ICH-GCP guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and applicable regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain strong partnerships with investigators, clinical sites, vendors, and other external stakeholders to ensure alignment on study objectives, timelines, and deliverables throughout the clinical trial lifecycle.Develop regional resource plans, including forecasting staffing requirements and allocating Site Director resources to support current and future clinical programs.Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and mentor Site Directors, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Ensure timely completion of required GCP, regulatory, and internal training for all team members.Establish performance metrics, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to drive operational excellence and high-quality study execution across the region.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree requiredBachelor’s degree in nursing or RN a plus8+ years of clinical trial monitoring experience required Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as in applicable local language
