Director - Construction Management

The Director of Construction Management is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of major construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. The role oversees contractors, consultants, and project teams while managing stakeholder relationships and driving effective project governance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the construction management function across multiple projects and workstreamsDevelop and implement construction execution strategies, methodologies, and delivery plansOversee project schedules, budgets, quality, and risk management activitiesManage and monitor the performance of contractors, consultants, and suppliersEnsure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsProvide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary construction teamsReview and approve construction methodologies, progress reports, and change requestsCoordinate with design, development, procurement, and operations teams to ensure project alignmentIdentify project risks and implement mitigation measures to minimize impact on deliveryLead stakeholder engagement with internal departments, government entities, contractors, and executive leadershipDrive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices in construction managementPrepare executive reports and presentations on project performance, key risks, and strategic decisionsRequirements Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field Minimum 12-15 years of experience in construction and project delivery, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Experience delivering large-scale mixed-use, infrastructure, real estate, or mega-development projects Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project controls, scheduling, and cost management Familiarity with international construction standards and industry best practices
