Apply & track with Apply EdgePosition OverviewThe Director - Finance will serve as the principal financial advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, ensuring the company's financial sustainability, profitability, liquidity, compliance, and growth across its operations within the energy and infrastructure sectors.Key Performance AreasThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing:Financial Leadership & Corporate Strategy (6 key responsibilities):Financial strategy development and execution, strategic business partnering, growth initiatives, corporate planning, and transformation projects.Capital Structure, Funding & Corporate Finance (6 key responsibilities):Capital structure optimization, project financing, debt/equity funding, lender and investor negotiations, refinancing, and banking facilities.Treasury, Liquidity & Cash Management (6 key responsibilities)Treasury strategy, cash flow management, working capital optimization, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and treasury risk oversight.Financial Planning, Budgeting & Performance Management (6 key responsibilities)Budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, KPI monitoring, scenario analysis, and performance accountability.Financial Reporting, Governance & Compliance (6 key responsibilities)IFRS compliance, UAE tax and VAT compliance, governance frameworks, internal controls, audit readiness, and financial reporting integrity.Enterprise Risk Management (5 key responsibilities)Financial risk identification, mitigation strategies, business continuity planning, insurance oversight, and financial resilience.Investment Evaluation & Strategic Expansion (5 key responsibilities)Evaluation of investments, acquisitions, partnerships, project economics, valuations, and capital investment decisions using NPV, IRR, ROI, and similar methodologies.Leadership & Organizational Development (6 key responsibilities)Leadership of the finance function, talent development, succession planning, mentoring, departmental alignment, and cross-functional collaboration.Banking, Investor & External Stakeholder Management (4 key responsibilities)Executive-level engagement with banks, investors, auditors, regulators, tax authorities, and strategic partners.Transformation, Systems & Automation (4 key responsibilities)ERP optimization, finance transformation, automation initiatives, analytics enhancement, and scalable finance systems.ExperienceMinimum 15+ years of progressive finance experience.At least 7+ years in senior finance leadership roles with enterprise-wide responsibility.Strong experience within energy, natural gas, utilities, infrastructure, transportation, engineering, industrial, project-based, or capital-intensive sectors.Education & Professional QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.MBA or Master's Degree preferred.Professional qualification required: CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, CA, or equivalent.Technical ExpertiseCorporate finance and capital management.Treasury and funding structures.Strategic financial planning and analysis.IFRS and regulatory compliance.Enterprise risk management.ERP and financial technologies.Executive-level reporting and board presentations.Leadership CompetenciesExecutive leadership and strategic thinking.Commercial acumen.Stakeholder management and influence.Strong negotiation skills.Change leadership.Governance mindset.Executive communication and presentation skills.Location: Dubai, UAE.
