Director-Data Center Business

Role Purpose:To establish, coordinate and lead the Group Data Center business strategy and opportunities with end-to-end responsibility for market development, customer acquisition, technical solutions, strategic partnerships, project delivery, organization development and business profitability.The role requires a senior Data Center leader with strong technical credibility, commercial capability, market relationships and proven experience in building or significantly growing a Data Center business in Saudi Arabia and/or the GCC.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute the Data Center business strategy, market-entry plan and growth roadmap.Identify opportunities across hyper scale, colocation, enterprise, telecom, edge, modular and AI/HPC Data Centers.Build senior-level relationships with Data Center developers, operators, hyper scalers, cloud providers, telecom companies, government entities, consultants and EPC contractors.Lead major opportunities from early customer engagement through solution development, proposal, negotiation, contract award and execution.Provide overall technical leadership covering power, cooling, ICT, ELV, BMS, DCIM, security, fire protection and related mission-critical systems.Establish strategic partnerships with leading OEMs, technology providers, consultants, suppliers and specialist contractors.Lead major tenders, pricing, value engineering, commercial negotiations and project risk assessment.Oversee the full project lifecycle from concept and design through engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.Build the required Engineering, Business Development, Commercial, Project Delivery and Operations capabilities.Take responsibility for business targets, order intake, revenue, margin, profitability and long-term growth.Within the first 90–120 days, develop and present a Group Data Center Strategic Plan covering target markets and customers, priority opportunities, business model, strategic partnerships, 3-year business targets, required Engineering, Business Development, Commercial, Project Delivery and Operations organization, capability gaps and implementation roadmap.Candidate Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.Recognized Data Center certifications such as Uptime Institute ATD, CDCP, CDCS or equivalent are highly preferred.Minimum 20 years of relevant professional experience, with substantial Data Center or mission-critical infrastructure experience.Minimum 10 years in senior leadership or management roles.Proven experience delivering complex Data Center projects from concept through commissioning and handover.Strong business development, commercial negotiation and customer-management experience.Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and P&L.Strong Saudi Arabia/GCC Data Center market knowledge and industry network.Previous experience building, launching or significantly expanding a Data Center business or regional operation is highly preferred.PMP and professional engineering credentials will be considered an advantage.
