The hiring team wants a technically credible player-coach who can set strategy, develop the team, challenge technical approaches, and help move Data Science products from concept through production and business adoption.Core ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the enterprise Data Science roadmapLead and develop the existing 7-person Data Science organizationBuild customer segmentation and personalization capabilitiesLead predictive, recommendation, forecasting, and decision-support modelingUse structured and unstructured/Voice of Customer data to identify friction across the customer journeyDevelop ML and AI-enabled analytical products that directly influence customer experiencesEstablish standards around model development, validation, experimentation, monitoring, and lifecycle managementDrive models beyond POCs into production and measurable business adoptionPartner closely with Data Engineering, AI Engineering, Product, Digital, Clinical, and Operational teamsDefine how model performance and business impact should be measuredEstablish strong experimentation, A/B testing, causal inference, and impact-evaluation practicesServe as a senior advisor to executives on where Data Science and AI can create meaningful valueMust Haves12+ years of Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, Applied Statistics, or related experience5+ years leading Data Science, ML, or advanced analytics teamsCurrently or recently leading a genuine Data Science/ML functionStrong customer analytics/customer experience backgroundHands-on experience with customer segmentation and personalizationPredictive and recommendation modeling experienceExperience working with unstructured data and/or Voice of Customer dataProven history taking ML/Data Science products into productionStrong Python, SQL, statistical modeling, and Machine Learning foundationExperience with model evaluation, monitoring, drift, interpretability, and lifecycle managementStrong experimentation and measurement knowledgeAbility to operate as a technical player-coachStrong executive communication and cross-functional leadershipBachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative/technical disciplineStrongly PreferredLLM / GenAI experienceCustomer-facing AI productsHyperscaler/cloud personalization capabilitiesRecommendation systemsCausal inference and sophisticated experimentationSemantic models, ontologies, or knowledge graphsResponsible AI/model governance experienceHealthcare, digital health, health insurance, life sciences, financial services, or another regulated environmentMaster's degree or PhD
