Treasury / Liquidity ManagementOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Treasury professional to join a growing financial services organization and play a key role in managing liquidity, funding, and balance sheet activities across its broker-dealer platform. This is a highly hands-on role focused on the day-to-day management of liquidity while also providing a strategic perspective as the business continues to grow, execute larger transactions, and expand its underwriting activities.The ideal candidate will come from a boutique or middle-market broker-dealer/investment bank where they have operated in a lean environment and gained broad exposure across Treasury, funding, liquidity, settlement, and balance sheet management.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and monitor daily liquidity and cash requirements across the broker-dealer.Oversee short-term funding activities, including day loans and other borrowing arrangements.Manage and develop relationships with banks, lenders, and other funding counterparties.Support secured funding facilities and evaluate funding needs across the organization.Monitor liquidity requirements associated with equity and fixed-income underwriting activity.Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and Sales & Trading teams.Understand settlement activity and its impact on daily liquidity and funding requirements.Monitor the balance sheet and proactively identify potential liquidity constraints.Understand the impact of business activity on broker-dealer net capital requirements.Work closely with the team responsible for monitoring daily regulatory capital.Provide strategic insight around liquidity management as the organization takes on larger and more complex transactions.Help strengthen and further develop the firm’s Treasury and liquidity-management infrastructure.
Requirements
Significant Treasury, liquidity management, or funding experience within a broker-dealer, investment bank, or similar financial institution.Strong understanding of broker-dealer balance sheet and liquidity management.Experience with short-term borrowing, day loans, secured funding, and bank counterparties.Familiarity with equity and/or fixed-income underwriting and settlement processes.Working knowledge of SEC Rule 15c3-1 and broker-dealer net capital requirements.Ability to understand how underwriting and settlement activity impacts liquidity and regulatory capital.Strong preference for candidates who have worked within boutique with lean infrastructure.Comfortable operating both strategically and at a highly hands-on level.Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across Finance, Operations, Risk, and senior leadership.
