If so, this may be the role for you.Quick Snapshot: In this role, you will develop, market, and deliver innovative education programs across in-person, virtual, and online formats. Work with internal and external stakeholders to lead program design, implementation, and evaluation while managing budgets, financial performance, and educational technology initiatives. As FMI's e-learning expert, you will also drive continuous improvement through data-driven program assessment and the adoption of innovative learning solutions.What You’ll Do in This Role:Develop, market, and execute educational programs, conferences, webinars, and online learning initiatives that align with FMI's strategic goals and member needs.Identify industry trends and emerging topics to create innovative and relevant learning experiences.Lead all aspects of program and event planning, including goal setting, budgeting, timelines, audience development, and success measurement.Serve as project manager and primary liaison across internal teams, including marketing, finance, meetings, logistics, and event operations.Recruit, manage, and collaborate with member planning committees, subject matter experts, speakers, and partner organizations to develop high-quality educational content.Identify sponsorship opportunities, cultivate sponsor relationships, and negotiate speaker and vendor contracts.Monitor program performance, financial results, and attendee feedback to ensure program success and continuous improvement.Serve as FMI's education technology and e-learning expert, providing guidance on learning technologies, best practices, and digital learning strategies.Manage FMI's Learning Management System and support the implementation of new educational technologies and online learning solutions.Education and Skills You’ll Need to Be Successful:Minimum of seven to ten years of prior work experience in a similar role specifically in meeting planning and program development with demonstrated skills in project management. College degree in education, business, or a related field.At least three years of e-learning program delivery. A certificate in e-learning design and delivery is a plus.Knowledge of the food and/or retail industry and general business concepts.Experience managing volunteer committees, including facilitating meetings, setting agendas, and leading collaborative planning efforts.Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.Working knowledge of event and educational technologies, including webinar platforms, online learning tools, live streaming, and mobile applications.Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, course development, and effective education methodologies.Experience recruiting speakers and sponsors, managing budgets, and negotiating vendor and service contracts.Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, virtual meeting platforms, and database management systems.Strong communication, presentation, customer service, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Why FMI?
