Center stage role as part of executive leadership.Existing maintenance programs are functional and reactive. CEO wants to build a stronger maintenance program, reduce downtime, be more proactive, and improve customer satisfaction and profitability. Be empowered to make a difference.Oversee operations, maintenance, and compliance of vehicle fleet and maintenanceProactively identify opportunities to minimize vehicle downtime and ensure customer satisfactionAnalyze fleet data and KPI management to optimize operations efficiencyEnsure total compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsPartner with safety managers to conduct accident investigations and routine safety inspectionsDevelop and manage the departmental Profit & Loss budget and capital expendituresManage vehicle acquisitions, leasing, licensing, and vehicle disposal/replacement programsExecute strategic vendor selection and negotiate with outside repair providers and parts suppliersHire, train, schedule, and evaluate fleet mechanics, supervisors, and support staffEstablish training initiatives (e.g., safety, equipment, repair techniques) to upskill workforcePartner on the planning and development of next generation of fleet vehiclesContribute on infrastructure build out for expansion in Europe and Latin AmericaREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or automotive technology ideal; MBA a plus. Seek 8+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience, including several years in a senior leadership role with demonstrated contributions. Ideal candidate will come from railroad or trucking industry. Strong knowledge of fleet management software, forecasting, and DOT/OSHA compliance laws. Proactive leader with executive potential. Willing to travel as required.REWARD: $170,000 to $210,000 DOE plus bonus, long-term incentives, and upside to VP level
