Director Global Procurement

The RoleThe Director, Global Procurement will lead the company's global procurement function from with accountability for sourcing strategy, supplier governance, contracting support, procurement operations and continuous improvement across a globally distributed team. This role will modernize procurement capabilities, strengthen controls, improve visibility to spend and supplier performance and partner closely with Finance, Legal, IT, Security, HR and business leaders to deliver measurable value, scalability and risk mitigation across the enterprise.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Strategy & Category Leadership: Develop and execute global procurement strategies across key spend categories in support of business priorities, cost optimization, service quality and risk management. Establish category plans, sourcing pipelines and decision frameworks aligned to enterprise needs.Sourcing, Negotiation & Contracting: Lead complex RFP, RFQ and RFI processes, drive commercial negotiations and partner with Legal and internal stakeholders to improve contract quality, supplier accountability and commercial outcomes. Ensure sourcing decisions are fact-based, competitive and well documented.Supplier Management & Governance: Build a disciplined supplier management model including onboarding, performance scorecards, QBRs, issue escalation, diversity efforts and ongoing risk monitoring. Strengthen strategic supplier relationships while holding partners accountable to SLAs, pricing and service commitments.Procurement Operations & Controls: In partnership with Finance and Accounts Payable, enhance Procure-to-Pay processes, purchasing controls, policy compliance, delegation-of-authority discipline and purchasing workflow effectiveness. Support scalable processes, audit readiness and stronger control execution globally.Analytics, Reporting & Transformation: Establish procurement KPIs and dashboards across spend, savings, cycle time, policy adherence, supplier performance and business outcomes. Leverage spend analysis and market intelligence to identify opportunities, guide decisions and support procurement transformation initiatives.People Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership: Lead, coach and develop a globally dispersed team. Allocate resources, set priorities, build capability and foster strong partnership with Finance, IT, Security, HR, Legal, Operations and business leaders to ensure procurement remains a high-value enterprise function.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.10+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply management experience, including meaningful exposure to services-based environments and cross-functional stakeholder management.5+ years of people leadership experience, including managing teams, developing talent and leading through change in a global environment.Demonstrated success leading sourcing events, supplier negotiations, contract support and procurement policy or process improvements that deliver measurable business value.Strong understanding of procurement operations, spend analytics, supplier performance management and Procure-to-Pay controls. Experience with procurement systems and contract lifecycle tools is preferred.Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, balance strategic and tactical priorities and operate effectively across Finance, Legal, IT, HR, Security and business functions.Excellent communication, executive presence and business acumen, with the ability to present clearly at all levels and navigate a fast-moving, globally distributed organization.Experience building or modernizing procurement processes, controls and reporting frameworks is strongly preferred.Skills & CapabilitiesStrategic sourcing and category management expertise, with strong commercial judgment and negotiation discipline.Analytical mindset with experience in spend analysis, KPI development, dashboard reporting and data-driven decision-making.Strong leadership and coaching capabilities, with the ability to lead a globally dispersed team and drive accountability through clear priorities and performance expectations.Ability to build trusted cross-functional relationships and influence decisions across senior stakeholders, legal, finance and operational teams.Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and balancing transformation work with day-to-day execution.Requirements• Location: Nashville, TN (hybrid/on-site as business needs require)• Employment Type: Full-time• Global remit with responsibility for a globally distributed team• Willingness to be hands-on and support enterprise procurement initiatives as requiredWhy This Role MattersThis role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations and control.
