Built on a client-first philosophy and a commitment to long-term value creation, the organization has experienced significant growth in assets under management and continues to invest in its technology capabilities to support future expansion.Director of Information Technology - Position SummaryThe Director of Technology is responsible for leading the organization's technology vision, strategy, and execution. This executive will serve as both a strategic leader and hands-on technology professional, driving innovation while ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of the firm's technology environment. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with proven leadership experience in the financial services industry.Essential ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the organization's technology strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives.Lead the IT function, providing direction for the design, implementation, support, and ongoing enhancement of technology solutions.Drive innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies to improve trading capabilities, performance measurement, reporting, operational efficiency, and client service.Oversee cybersecurity, data protection, disaster recovery, and technology compliance initiatives.Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, including selection, contract oversight, performance management, and cost optimization.Develop and manage the technology budget to maximize return on investment while maintaining operational excellenceMonitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to support continuous improvement.Balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical involvement, while building and developing the IT team as the organization grows.Support a hybrid work environment. New employees are expected to work on-site full-time during the initial onboarding period before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to business needs and management approval.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.15+ years of information technology experience within financial services, including at least 5 years in a senior technology leadership role. Experience within asset or investment management is strongly preferred.Broad technical expertise across trading platforms, investment operations systems, enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and data management and analytics.Strong experience with the Microsoft technology ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Intune, Microsoft Defender, and related enterprise platform.Demonstrated success developing and enhancing cybersecurity programs, including vulnerability management, incident response, security frameworks (such as NIST CSF), and regulatory compliance.Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, switching, wireless networking, and secure remote access.Proven experience managing technology vendors, third-party service providers, and enterprise technology contracts.Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.Strategic and collaborative leader with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
