It has the largest collection of locally based designer brands in Singapore.TCS, offers creative co-working and event space housed on level 2 and rooftop of Design Orchard.Career OpportunityWe are seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial, and externally oriented leader to join Singapore Fashion Council as Director, Innovation & Technology. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of SFC’s Innovation & Technology pillar, strengthening SFC’s position as a regional platform for responsible fashion innovation and building long-term capabilities across fashion ventures, technology, and sustainability.The Role:Reporting to the CEO, you will:Define and lead the Innovation & Technology pillar strategy in alignment with SFC’s broader organisational priorities and ambition to become a leading council in the region for responsible fashion innovation.Own the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of flagship programmes including TBFI, launchpad/scale-up initiatives, and open innovation challenges.Drive ecosystem building by cultivating relationships with startups, brands, corporates, investors, accelerators, academic institutions, and public sector partners.Translate strategic objectives into measurable KPIs and deliverables, including programme outcomes, ecosystem impact, and reporting requirements linked to Enterprise Singapore support.Lead venture-building and innovation initiatives that strengthen market readiness, investor readiness, and commercialisation pathways for participating companies.Collaborate closely across SFC’s pillars, especially Sustainability and Industry Development, to amplify programme impact and create joined-up value for the industry.Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to managers and programme staff, building a high-performing team with strong execution discipline and external credibility.Represent SFC externally as a thought leader and connector, convening stakeholders, identifying opportunities, and helping spark innovation across the fashion and apparel ecosystem.Manage budgets, programme performance with P&L responsibilities, with potential expansion into fundraising and partnership development.Support exploratory innovation partnerships and special projects that align with SFC’s strategic priorities and flagship platforms.Success Measures:Growth and quality of SFC’s innovation pipeline, programmes, and ecosystem partnerships.Delivery of strategic and hard KPIs, including outcomes linked to Enterprise Singapore-supported initiatives.Strength of cross-pillar collaboration and the creation of long-term capabilities in the fashion venture and sustainability space.Leadership effectiveness in building team capability, stakeholder confidence, and SFC’s external profile in innovation and technology.Required Skills and Competencies:Proven experience in innovation, venture building, ecosystem development, or strategic programme leadership, ideally within fashion, consumer, sustainability, technology, or adjacent sectors.Strong understanding of the fashion and apparel landscape, with a clear interest in how technology and sustainability are reshaping the industry.Ability to operate strategically and commercially, with experience setting direction, managing KPIs, and translating vision into executable programmes.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to engage founders, industry leaders, corporate partners, government agencies, and investors.Demonstrated people leadership, with the ability to mentor managers and develop team capability.Entrepreneurial mindset, sound judgment, and comfort working in an evolving environment where programmes and partnerships are built iteratively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop proposals, represent SFC publicly, and influence across stakeholders.Strong project and budget management capabilities; familiarity with grant-linked deliverables and performance reporting is an advantage.What You’ll Gain:Hands-on experience in developing and executing initiatives in the fashion industry.Exposure to leading fashion brands, investors and innovation partners in the ecosystem.The opportunity to contribute to real-world projects that drive impactful change.Networking opportunities with professionals across the fashion ecosystem.A chance to work on high-impact projects, including major summits, industry consortiums, and experiential learning initiatives.Professional development and opportunities for career growth within SFC and the broader innovation in fashion sector.Equal Opportunity EmployerAt Singapore Fashion Council, we are committed to fostering a workplace that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
