Director – Life Sciences CampusVirginia & Alabama, USASector: Life Sciences | Pharmaceuticals | Advanced Manufacturing | Owner’s RepresentationOur client is a leading global Owner’s Representative and Project Management Consultancy, delivering some of the world’s most complex and technically demanding capital projects.They are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major life sciences and pharmaceutical campuses across Virginia and Alabama.This is a senior leadership position with overall responsibility for project delivery, cost, programme, engineering, design and construction, working directly with a major global pharmaceutical client and senior project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Overall leadership and delivery of large-scale pharmaceutical / life sciences campus developments.Accountability for cost, budget, forecasting and commercial performance.Leadership of programme, project controls, risk and change management.Oversight of engineering, design management and technical delivery.Leadership of major contractors, consultants and specialist vendors.Management of procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification and handover.Management of complex interfaces between buildings, process facilities, utilities and site infrastructure.Ensure projects comply with relevant GMP, quality, validation and regulatory requirements.Senior stakeholder management with the pharmaceutical client, contractors, consultants and wider project team.Establish and drive project governance, reporting and overall delivery strategy.

Requirements

15+ years’ experience delivering major capital projects.Proven experience in a senior Project Director / Programme Director / Delivery Director role.Mandatory experience working directly with major pharmaceutical / life sciences companies.Strong background across cost, programme, engineering and construction.Proven experience delivering pharmaceutical manufacturing, life sciences, biotech, laboratory, process or similarly regulated facilities.Experience working for an Owner’s Representative, Project Management Consultancy, major contractor, developer or pharmaceutical client.Strong understanding of GMP environments, validation, commissioning and regulated project delivery.Strong commercial, contractual, project controls and stakeholder management capability.Experience delivering major projects in the US is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience
