Apply & track with Apply EdgeTHE OPPORTUNITYCRG is hiring a Research Director to lead market research and consulting projects from the first client conversation through the final presentation. The Director owns client relationships, guides research design, oversees analysis and reporting, and manages and develops a team of research managers and analysts.This is a hands-on senior role. On any given week the Director might facilitate a client workshop, review a questionnaire before it goes to field, coach an analyst through an analysis plan, and present findings to a board or an industry audience. WHAT YOU WILL DOProject leadership
- Lead multiple research and consulting projects at the same time, including scoping, methodology, timelines, budgets, and quality control.
- Design quantitative and qualitative studies, including questionnaires, discussion guides, sampling plans, and analysis plans.
- Oversee fieldwork, analysis, and reporting, and make sure every deliverable meets CRG's standards for accuracy and clarity.Client management
- Support business development activities to onboard new clients and expand the business relationship with existing clients.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, turning their business questions into research objectives and their results into practical recommendations.
- Present complex findings to client leadership teams, boards, committees, and at industry conferences.
- Identify opportunities to extend existing client relationships and contribute to proposals for new work.Team leadership
- Manage, mentor, and train research managers and analysts, including hiring, onboarding, day to day oversight, performance feedback, and professional development.
- Review the team's work and build their skills in research design, analysis, data visualization, and report writing.Practice development
- Contribute to CRG's methods, tools, and templates, and help the firm keep improving how it delivers research.
- Stay current on research methods, analytics, and visualization tools, and share what you learn with the team.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORRequired
- 7+ years of experience in the research and consulting sector.
- Demonstrated experience managing research and consulting projects from start to finish.
- Experience managing employees, including hiring, oversight, training, and mentoring.
- Experience presenting complex research results to clients (executive audiences) or at conferences.
- Strong command of both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis and visualization tools such as SPSS, Q, R, Power BI, or Tableau, along with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Currently living in Canada and legally eligible to work in Canada.Preferred
- A graduate degree (master's or higher) in a research discipline such as social sciences, statistics, economics, business, or a related field.
- Bilingual in English and French, with the ability to write reports and present findings in both languages.

- Salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 CAD per year, based on experience and qualifications.

- Full time, permanent position.
- Work from home, anywhere in Canada. Some travel is expected for client meetings and conferences.
