Role Description This part-time hybrid role as Director of Airport Operations at Colegio SS.CC. Providencia is based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Director of Airport Operations oversees daily airport operational activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with local and international regulations. Responsibilities include coordinating ground and terminal operations, monitoring passenger flow, and addressing operational issues in real time. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners, optimizing resource allocation, and contributing to budgeting and planning for airport services. The director also implements service standards, tracks performance metrics, leads continuous improvement initiatives, and supports staff training to maintain high levels of operational reliability and customer satisfaction.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong operations management skills, with experience overseeing complex, multi-stakeholder environments such as airports or transportation hubs.Candidates should possess analytical skills to interpret data, assess performance, and make evidence-based decisions that improve safety, efficiency, and service quality.Candidates should possess team management skills, including the ability to lead diverse staff, coordinate shifts, and foster a collaborative, inclusive work culture.Candidates should possess budgeting and financial oversight skills to plan, monitor, and optimize operational costs and resource allocation.Candidates should possess customer service skills to handle passenger concerns, maintain high service standards, and represent the organization professionally.Relevant experience in airport operations, aviation, or transportation management is highly beneficial.Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, authorities, and service providers; additional languages are an asset.Bachelor’s degree in business, aviation management, logistics, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.Familiarity with aviation regulations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures in the United Arab Emirates or similar regulatory environments is advantageous.
