Precision Manufacturing | Aerospace and DefenseWe are conducting a confidential search for a Director of Business Operations for a growing precision manufacturing company serving aerospace, defense, space, robotics, and other demanding industries.Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, this leader will help turn business priorities into results across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and customer operations. We are seeking someone with strong technical judgment who can move between the production floor and leadership discussions, solve problems across functions, and build the systems and accountability needed to support continued growth.This is a hands-on operating role with broad responsibility and the potential to take on greater leadership scope as the company grows.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Founder and CEO to set priorities, make informed decisions, and ensure critical initiatives are executed.Lead projects across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and other functions from planning through measurable results.Identify bottlenecks affecting capacity, productivity, quality, delivery, or customer commitments, and implement practical solutions.Establish useful KPIs, reporting, business reviews, and clear ownership of operational priorities.Improve communication and coordination across teams so that decisions turn into consistent execution.Support process improvements that strengthen quality, on time delivery, efficiency, and the customer experience.Evaluate operational investments and new business opportunities with attention to capacity, cost, execution risk, and growth potential.Support acquisition integration and other strategic initiatives as the business expands.What We Are Looking ForLeadership experience in precision manufacturing, CNC machining, aerospace and defense manufacturing, or another technically complex production environment.The technical aptitude to work effectively with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams and understand the operational impact of their decisions.Experience leading initiatives across functions and improving processes, performance measures, and follow-through.Strong analytical ability, sound judgment, clear communication, and a practical approach to problem solving.A hands-on leader who takes ownership, follows through, and is comfortable working directly with an entrepreneurial Founder and CEO.The ability to set priorities and maintain momentum as a growing organization evolves.An engineering or other technical degree is preferred. Experience with AS9100 or similarly demanding quality requirements is valuable.
