As Director of Credit & Market Risk, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the bank's credit risk, market risk, and treasury risk frameworks. Working closely with the CRO and senior stakeholders, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the bank operates within its risk appetite while supporting sustainable growth from day one. Responsibilities• Build and maintain the bank's credit risk framework, underwriting standards, rating models, and delegated authorities. • Establish and monitor market risk, IRRBB, liquidity risk, and treasury risk limits across the bank. • Provide independent second-line oversight of lending, treasury, and ALM activities. • Own IFRS 9 provisioning methodology and expected credit loss frameworks in partnership with Finance. • Monitor portfolio quality, concentrations, emerging risks, and early warning indicators. • Build and lead the Credit, Market, and Treasury Risk function while implementing advanced analytics and AI-enabled risk capabilities. Requirements• 12+ years of experience across credit risk, market risk, treasury risk, or enterprise risk within banking or financial services, including senior leadership experience. • Deep expertise in credit underwriting, portfolio management, IFRS 9, market risk, liquidity risk, IRRBB, and treasury risk management. • Proven experience building risk frameworks, models, and governance structures within regulated environments. • Strong knowledge of CBUAE requirements, Basel standards, and regulatory expectations relating to credit and market risk. • Experience with risk analytics, modelling, portfolio monitoring, and advanced risk management tools. • Professional qualifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
