Director of Data Science & AI SolutionsPermanent, Remote - IrelandExcellent PackageThis role provides advanced analytics leadership for a multidisciplinary agile team within the enterprise analytics division. The Director is responsible for advancing how the organization leverages data science, Generative AI, and emerging AI capabilities to enhance business decision-making across strategic functions, including Commercial Operations, Risk Assessment, and Health Solutions. The role will identify, prioritize, and deliver high-value initiatives where advanced analytics can optimize efficiency, increase process consistency, surface actionable insights, and support business partners.Reporting to senior leadership within the decision science function, the Director is accountable for the end-to-end delivery, deployment, adoption, and ongoing optimization of advanced analytics and Generative AI solutions. This includes developing capabilities to retrieve, synthesize, summarize, and structure complex domain data to support operational workflows. The role will also evaluate where Agentic AI and intelligent workflow orchestration can safely augment business processes with appropriate human oversight and governance.The Job:Strategic & Operational LeadershipLead advanced analytics and Generative AI solution development supporting cross-functional business partners.Translate complex operational challenges into clear product requirements, success metrics, delivery roadmaps, and change management strategies.Partner with technical, business, and compliance teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and fully aligned with organizational objectives.Communicate technical concepts, risks, trade-offs, and measurable business impact to senior executive and non-technical stakeholders.AI Development & Advanced CapabilitiesDevelop and scale reusable Generative AI capabilities that retrieve, synthesize, summarize, and structure complex structured and unstructured documentation.Explore and deploy Agentic AI solutions to automate multi-step operational processes, driving workflow efficiency and decision consistency.Apply expertise in data science, machine learning, and Generative AI quality controls to ensure model outputs are accurate, reliable, explainable, and fit for purpose.Evaluate emerging AI technologies and human-in-the-loop automation models to optimize human-machine collaboration safely.Team Development & GovernanceBuild, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists, balancing delivery priorities with long-term technical capability development.Enforce rigorous standards around data compliance, model governance, responsible AI, and information security.Monitor solution performance, user adoption, model behavior, and underlying data quality post-deployment to ensure continuous value delivery.Essential RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.Experience:10+ years (with Bachelor's), 8+ years (with Master's), or 6+ years (with PhD) of experience developing, implementing, and scaling data science, machine learning, and AI solutions.Proven track record leading Generative AI or advanced AI-enabled initiatives that transform unstructured and structured data into business-ready insights.Hands-on expertise evaluating and deploying Agentic AI capabilities and human-in-the-loop process automation.

Technical Skills
