Director of Data ScienceMy client, a leading US healthcare organisation, is seeking a Director of Data Science to lead the strategy, development and delivery of enterprise data science and advanced analytics capabilities across the business.This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping the data science vision, scaling production-grade machine learning solutions and building a high-performing team capable of turning complex healthcare data into measurable clinical, operational and financial outcomes.You will work at the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence and executive leadership, influencing how data and predictive intelligence are used to improve decision-making across a large, complex healthcare environment.What You’ll Do

• Define and lead the enterprise data science strategy in alignment with business, clinical and technology objectives
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing organisation of data scientists, machine learning engineers and analytics leaders
• Oversee the development and deployment of predictive models, machine learning solutions and advanced analytics products
• Identify high-value opportunities across clinical outcomes, member experience, operational efficiency, cost optimisation and population health
• Partner with Product, Data, Engineering, Technology and business leaders to move data science initiatives from concept into production
• Establish best practices across experimentation, model development, validation, deployment and ongoing performance monitoring
• Create scalable frameworks and platforms that accelerate the delivery of enterprise data science solutions
• Drive the responsible adoption of Generative AI, machine learning and intelligent automation across the organisation
• Establish governance standards covering model risk, explainability, privacy, security, compliance and responsible AI
• Influence strategic roadmaps across healthcare data, AI platforms, cloud infrastructure and enterprise analytics
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear executive recommendations, investment priorities and measurable business outcomes
• Promote a culture of innovation, technical excellence and evidence-based decision-making across the organisationWhat We’re Looking For
• Senior leadership experience within Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics or Enterprise AI
• Proven experience building and leading large, multidisciplinary data science and machine learning teams
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale predictive models and machine learning solutions into production
• Strong knowledge of statistical modelling, experimentation, forecasting and applied machine learning
• Experience working with complex healthcare data, including claims, clinical, member, provider or pharmacy data
• Deep understanding of modern cloud data and AI platforms across Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
• Strong knowledge of MLOps, model lifecycle management, monitoring and scalable data science infrastructure
• Experience applying Generative AI and Large Language Models within an enterprise environment
• Strong understanding of healthcare privacy, security, governance and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated success translating data science investment into measurable clinical, operational or financial value
• Ability to operate effectively at both executive and technical levels
