Director of Editorial & Communications

For nearly two decades, the Texas-Israel Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has strengthened trade, investment, technological exchange, and commercial partnerships between Texas and Israel. We are apolitical, nonpartisan business optimists, and we believe innovation, trade, and collaboration are powerful forces that make the world better for everyone. We are looking for a seasoned communications professional to build our editorial platform and lead communications through impactful stories that inform decision-makers and compel funders and founders. The Role You will own the Alliance's editorial and communications engine, working directly with its Executive Director and senior stakeholders in Texas and Israel. This is a hands-on role. You will write. You will edit. You will think. You will strategize. You will own and develop an editorial calendar, stories, and arguments, connecting them to the moment and shaping them into effective narratives. This is a human-led, AI-enabled role that optimizes for quality over quantity. Who We're Looking For Ideally, you have 6–10+ years of experience and are an exceptional English writer and editor with strong business instincts and intellectual curiosity, who understands the nuance of working with government organizations, and has the judgment to navigate the U.S.-Israel relationship thoughtfully. You have worked closely with a senior executive, helping develop their voice, ideas, and public profile, and can turn conversations and rough ideas into polished, compelling content. A background in business or technology journalism, editorial, or executive communications is particularly relevant.
