Company Description Concrete Masonry & Hardscapes Association (CMHA), formerly known as ICPI-NCMA, represents a broad range of market segments within the manufactured concrete products community. Its members include organizations focused on concrete masonry, segmental concrete pavement, segmental retaining walls, articulating concrete block, and manufactured stone veneer. Team members join a mission-driven organization focused on service to both the industry and its stakeholders.Role Description The Director of Education & Certification is a full-time, hybrid role based in Herndon, VA, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role oversees the strategy, development, and delivery of CMHA’s education and certification programs, ensuring they align with industry needs and association goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the education department, designing industry curricula, developing and managing education and certification pathways, coordinating instructional resources, promotion educational offerings, and supervising program implementation and evaluation. The director collaborates with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external partners to maintain high-quality standards, update materials, and expand and promote participation in educational offerings. This role also involves monitoring industry trends, setting and achieving measurable objectives, managing budgets, and reporting on program outcomes to association leadership.Qualifications Curriculum Development and Program Development skills to design, implement, and refine education and certification offerings.Education and Educational Leadership experience to oversee instructional quality and guide trainers, facilitators, and contributors.Coaching and mentoring capabilities to support learners, instructors, and staff in achieving professional development goals.Experience in association, nonprofit, or professional education environments, preferably within construction, masonry, or related industries.Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.Proficiency with learning management systems, online education platforms, and basic data/reporting tools.Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
