Employer Description: Associated Builders and Contractors of North Florida is a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting and supporting the commercial construction industry and the merit shop philosophy. ABC helps member companies develop their people so they can win work, and deliver projects safely, ethically, and profitably. Built on the merit shop philosophy, the Chapter promotes open competition and workforce excellence in the construction industry. Chartered in 1985 by the national association founded in 1950, it serves contractor, supplier and associate members across the entire north Florida panhandle. The organization focuses on advancing construction education, workforce development, and community betterment through training, advocacy, and member services.Director of Education and Workforce : ABC North Florida is seeking a dynamic professional to help lead and grow workforce development initiatives for North Florida’s commercial construction industry. We’re looking for someone who can build programs, build partnerships AND help build the resources to sustain them.This broad, relationship-driven role may include:• Apprenticeship & pre-apprenticeship programs• Workforce training & upskilling initiatives• Safety & professional development offerings• Employer, education & community partnerships• Grant writing, fundraising, event planning & sponsorship developmentThe ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, organized, and self-directed relationship builder.
