This is a player-coach role with real ownership: incentives, payments, pricing mechanics, A/B testing, and the algorithms that balance supply and demand at scale. Your work directly dictates how the marketplace performs.ResponsibilitiesOwn core marketplace health - allocation, matching, and distribution systems that balance supply and demandWork closely with product and data science to design and implement incentives, payments, and pricing mechanicsDrive a culture of experimentation - A/B testing, guardrail metrics, and data-driven decisionsHire, coach, and level a pod of senior-leaning engineers, fostering high judgment and autonomyLead roadmap and delivery - translating ambiguous business goals into clear, actionable quarterly plansOperate as a player-coach - system design, code reviews, incident debugging, and occasionally shipping codeRequirementsSenior EM: 2+ years managing teams of 7-8+ engineers.
