Director of FF&E ProcurementLocation: Dallas, TX | Onsite Our client, a residential design firm, is looking for a Director of FF&E to run the day-to-day operational engine of their FF&E business and lead a growing procurement team.Do you know custom furniture inside and out, fabric, finish, size, configuration, the whole nine yards? If so, this might be your next role.The Perks!Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000, based on experiencePerformance-based Bonus401kPaid Time OffHealth and Dental BenefitsA Day in the Life of the Director of FF&EThis is a player-coach role, working directly under the Head of Design to keep a portfolio of residential clients moving from spec through delivery and install. You'll manage a small procurement team, own your own projects, and act as the operational right hand for a business where design vision meets flawless execution. If someone else owns the client relationship and the creative direction, you own making it all actually happen.Responsibilities include:Oversee the full FF&E project lifecycle, specs, budgets, order acknowledgments, purchase orders, cuttings for approval, status updates, logistics coordination, and damage claimsManage a procurement team, keeping projects on track and clearing roadblocks before they escalateHandle your own active projects alongside team oversightManage vendor submittals like cuttings, shop drawings, and strike-offs to keep production and fabrication on scheduleApply working knowledge of production and fabrication methods across furniture categories to ensure quality standards are metConvey required approval documents to clients before releasing a project into the purchasing phasePartner with Finance on accounts receivable and create project closure documents at completionManage the resource library and sample inventory for clientsEnsure company procedures are followed for creating and preserving critical documentsMaintain regular communication across Purchasing, Design, and FinanceRequirements and Qualifications:Residential custom furniture procurement and project management experienceStrong grasp of custom furniture nuances, fabric, finish, size, and configuration optionsSharp with numbers, comfortable building invoices and logistics estimates that require real calculation, not flat catalog pricingYears of experience with financial/budget responsibilities, cost tracking, vendor payments, etc.Excellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detailPrior experience using Studio Designer, Monday.com, Excel, or similar toolsExperience managing or mentoring team members, or genuine readiness to step into a first leadership roleProven ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously without letting any fall through the cracksClear, confident communicator with both clients and vendorsAbout the Hiring Company:Our client is a residential design and FF&E firm known for delivering high-touch, detail-driven projects from concept through installation.
