Employment Type: Full-TimeCompensation: Highly competitive base salary + performance-based bonusThe OpportunityOur client is a rapidly growing, privately held consumer products company in the Dallas/Fort Worth area seeking a Director of Finance to serve as a key financial partner to the CEO and executive leadership team.This is a hybrid position offering a combination of in-office collaboration and remote work.This is a highly visible leadership position with significant influence over the company's continued growth and a clear opportunity to progress into the Chief Financial Officer role as the organization scales.The Director of Finance will lead financial planning and analysis, forecasting, cash and working-capital strategy, margin and profitability analysis, banking relationships, and the continued development of the finance and accounting organization.This opportunity is ideal for an accomplished finance leader who enjoys operating in an entrepreneurial environment—someone capable of being strategic with executive leadership while remaining hands-on enough to build processes, improve systems, and turn financial information into actionable business decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary financial partner to the CEO, providing analysis and recommendations around major business decisions, growth initiatives, and potential acquisitions.Lead financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, financial modeling, and budget-to-actual reporting.Develop and manage cash-flow and working-capital strategies, with particular attention to liquidity, cash conversion, DSO, and inventory turns.Provide detailed gross-margin, profitability, and product-cost analysis across customers, products, brands, channels, and programs.Partner with operational leaders to improve landed-cost accuracy, including freight, duties, tariffs, and other product-related costs.Manage banking and lender relationships in partnership with the CEO, including covenant monitoring, borrowing-base reporting, and preparation for future capital requirements.Lead and develop the finance and accounting organization while establishing scalable processes, controls, and accountability.Maintain strong internal controls and support accurate audits, tax filings, and protection of company assets.Improve utilization of ERP and financial systems, automate reporting where possible, and reduce dependence on manual processes.Develop dashboards and KPIs that provide executive leadership with clear, forward-looking insight into company performance.Qualifications7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including experience in a senior finance leadership capacity.Demonstrated strength in FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and translating financial analysis into business decisions.Experience partnering directly with CEOs, owners, or senior executive leadership.Experience working with banks, lenders, auditors, and outside tax advisors.Strong understanding of cash flow, working capital, margin analysis, and financial controls.Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.Strong executive communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial, fast-growing private company while building a more sophisticated and scalable finance function.Candidates with experience in consumer products, apparel, wholesale, distribution, importing, manufacturing, or another inventory-intensive business will be particularly attractive.Preferred ExperienceInternational sourcing and supply-chain financeLanded cost and product costingFreight, duties, tariffs, and logistics3PL operationsCredit facilities and covenant reportingERP optimization and financial-process automationCPA and/or CMA designationMBA or other relevant graduate degreeWhy Consider This Opportunity?This is not simply another Director of Finance position.
