Director of Finance

OverviewWe are seeking a Controller / Director of Finance / CFO to oversee multiple plant locations, oversee staff and has a good understanding of manufacturing accounting to assist growing mid-sized privately owned Michigan Manufacturing Group. Should have used or seen manufacturing cost & systems.Duties- Work with Company President, plant managers and accounting team to provide financial guidance for manufacturing and operations finance issues.- Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.QualificationsStrong finance and financial planning skills, including experience developing budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and financial reporting for internal leadership and external stakeholders.Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.Extensive experience in corporate finance, including cash flow management, cost control, and profitability analysis.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and partnering with senior executives.Strong knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements, as well as experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site with cross-functional teams.You could be a Tier 2 or small Tier 1 CFO to a Director of Finance in a larger manufacturer.
