The Director will be responsible for building a strong team, establishing clear operating standards, improving productivity, and ensuring the organization consistently delivers safe, high-quality work.The right person will be equally comfortable on the shop floor working through an operational problem and reviewing the numbers to understand where the business needs to improve.What You’ll OwnLead day-to-day fleet maintenance and service operations across the organization.Own operational and financial performance, including revenue, gross margin, cost control, and profitability.Establish and manage KPIs around throughput, cycle time, quality, labor efficiency, technician productivity, utilization, and rework.Build, develop, and hold accountable a strong operations leadership team.Improve scheduling, workflow, capacity planning, and resource allocation.Ensure current work is completed efficiently while forecasting future workload and staffing requirements.Drive consistent operating processes and standards across locations and teams.Partner with customers and internal leadership to resolve issues and improve service performance.Maintain high standards for safety, compliance, quality, and equipment readiness.Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions that improve performance.Create a culture of accountability where expectations are clear and leaders own results.What We’re Looking ForStrong operations leadership experience within fleet maintenance, heavy equipment, transportation, automotive/truck service, field service, or another technician-driven environment.Experience leading managers, technicians, and frontline teams.Demonstrated ability to build teams and hold people accountable for measurable results.Strong understanding of operational KPIs, labor productivity, utilization, scheduling, and capacity.Experience managing a P&L or meaningful responsibility for financial performance.Ability to balance immediate operational demands with longer-term planning and improvement.Comfortable working in a growing environment where processes and systems are continuing to evolve.Strong judgment, communication skills, and bias toward action.Willingness to travel periodically as required.CompensationBase Salary: $125,000–$150,000Bonus: Performance-based bonus opportunity
