IsoSafe Innovations is committed to creating safer organizations today and enabling smarter African cities in the future.Role Description The Director of Government Relations is a full-time, hybrid role based in Port Harcourt. This role leads IsoSafe Innovations’ engagement with local, state, and federal government entities to advance policies and partnerships that support AI-powered surveillance and smart city initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing government relations strategies, building and maintaining relationships with public officials, regulators, and agencies, and monitoring legislative and regulatory developments relevant to AI, security, and urban infrastructure. The Director will coordinate lobbying efforts, prepare policy briefs and position papers, represent the company in government meetings and industry associations, and support the design of proposals for public sector projects. The role also involves close collaboration with internal teams to align policy priorities with business objectives and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.QualificationsStrong expertise in public sector engagement, including Government Relations and Governmental Affairs, with a track record of building strategic relationships with officials and agencies.Experience working with legislative processes, including Legislative Relations and Legislation, and the ability to analyze and interpret policy and regulatory frameworks.Demonstrated ability to plan and execute ethical advocacy and Lobbying activities aligned with organizational goals and compliance requirements.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting policy briefs, presentations, and formal correspondence, and for representing the organization in high-level meetings.Proven strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and drive long-term partnerships.Experience working with or within government, public policy, security, technology, or related sectors; familiarity with AI, surveillance, or smart city solutions is beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, International Relations, Public Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage. Experience and Network is a substitute for Bachelor's or higher.Ability to travel, manage multiple initiatives concurrently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
