Often underutilized in the private sector of business and entrepreneurship, our programs allow the civilian workplace to deploy this incredible talent pool more effectively.JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Title: Director of Impact, WestFull-time/Part-time: Full-TimeSupervisor: Vice President of ImpactLocation: California, Arizona, or NevadaDate Available: 2026Salary Range: $90,000-$125,000The Honor Foundation is seeking a motivated, organized, well-spoken, and dynamic individual to fill the full-time Impact Director position for California, Arizona & Nevada in the United States. The Impact Director will generate revenue to support The Honor Foundation’s operating budget and long-term financial goals. The successful candidate will be a skilled relationship builder, as demonstrated via in-person and virtual communication platforms, and will have a proven ability to oversee all aspects of the donor engagement process, including identification, research, education, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. This person will manage a balanced portfolio of major donors, corporate partners, and foundation partners, and deliver value propositions through appropriate messaging to present opportunities that advance The Honor Foundation’s mission. Portfolio responsibilities include finding new donors and maximizing retention to support The Honor Foundation’s mission and vision. This individual will coordinate with other THF staff, such as marketing, operations, programs, and accounting, as required.Serving one of the most elite communities in the world requires an equally select group of people. Join an experienced team dedicated to creating an impact for the Special Operations community.To apply, please forward your resume and cover letter to Marleen Livingstone, VP of Impact, at marleen@honor.org.RESPONSIBILITIES: (80%) Fundraising: (50%) Major DonorsIdentify prospects through all available avenues, utilizing extensive networking, analytics tools, etc.Identify opportunities to engage donors with the organizationCreate tailored presentations for potential funding partnersManage timely and effective donor communications to cultivate donor relationships and maximize fundraising opportunitiesDeliver a consistent donor experience and increase referrals from current donors through high satisfaction with our philanthropic services(25%) Corporate PartnershipsIdentify, evaluate, and engage new and potential corporate funding partners via partnership and event opportunities.Present The Honor Foundation’s mission and vision and utilize active listening to create meaningful partnerships that benefit THF and funding partners.Ensure clear and effective communication, maximizing THF’s value(5%) FoundationsEstablish relationships with decision-makers and position The Honor Foundation for success in the grant process.Edit and collaborate with THF the grant manager(10%) Development Operations:(5%) Gift Tracking & Donor Stewardship Ensure accurate gift reportingEnsure prompt and appropriate donor recognition and stewardship. Update donation tracking reports and assist with audits as necessary(5%) DatabaseEnter and maintain accurate records in THF’s CRM systemManage data integrity to ensure accurate and comprehensive donor and fund records(5%) Marketing: Provide information to marketing as needed for the execution of events, funding partnerships, and stewarding relationshipsRevise Impact marketing documentsWrite, gather data, and procure departmental input to facilitate impact messaging(5%) Other Duties as AssignedQUALIFICATIONS:Proven track record of achieving goals and milestonesExcellent organizational and project management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation abilitiesAdept at developing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential fundersMaintain a professional demeanor, good judgment, and be culturally sensitiveMust be able and willing to travel regionally and nationally to represent The Honor Foundation at a variety of events, including military and civic engagementsAbility and willingness to thrive in a team environmentAbility to work independently in an unstructured environment Ability to adapt and pivot quicklyStrong attention to detailAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and remain aware of deadlinesAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and suggest/provide solutionsDisplay a positive & hard-working attitudeHigh sense of urgency Show a willingness and propensity to learn new skills Extensive knowledge of the SOF community is strongly preferredExperience dealing with customers/donors and other professionals in work and social settingsEducation and Experience Requirements:A bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience5+ years of fundraising, business development, or sales experience, showing increased responsibilityPrior experience with CRM, wealth analytics tools, and online donation platforms. Previous experience with Salesforce and Classy preferredExperience with Zoom, G-Suite, Microsoft OfficeActive on Social Media sites for business developmentEnvironmental/Working ConditionsFast-paced, start-up environmentRemote work from home - internet capabilities requiredDonor engagement meetings (virtual and in-person) Travel required for meetings and special eventsEvening and weekend work on occasionPhysical/Mental DemandsThis position requires sitting and standing, which is associated with a typical office environment and web meetings. Manual dexterity using a computer keyboard. Lifting and transporting materials up to 50 pounds in weight may be required.
