Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description The Director of Information Systems is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the organization’s information systems, infrastructure, and related technologies. This role leads the planning, implementation, and maintenance of core systems, ensuring reliability, security, and alignment with business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing IT operations, coordinating system upgrades, monitoring network and data security, and supervising vendor relationships and service providers. The director collaborates with leadership to develop technology roadmaps, manages budgets for IT projects and services, and establishes policies and standards for systems, security, and data governance. The role also involves mentoring team members, resolving complex technical issues, and driving continuous improvement in processes, tools, and system performance.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Information Systems and Information Technology skills, including experience managing enterprise systems and infrastructure.Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess risks, and inform technology and business decisions.Candidates should possess experience with Budgeting, including planning, forecasting, and managing technology-related expenditures.Candidates should possess knowledge of Network Security, including best practices for protecting systems, data, and user access.Candidates should possess leadership and team management experience, with the ability to guide cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.Candidates should possess strong communication and documentation skills to explain complex technical concepts clearly and support policy and procedure development.Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is strongly preferred.Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise applications, compliance requirements, and IT governance frameworks is beneficial.
