Position: Director of ITLocation: Chicagoland Area (Onsite/Hybrid)Employment Type: Direct Hire Relocation is availableI am looking for a Senior IT Director (with a current Director title) to oversee enterprise-wide infrastructure, cloud platforms, service delivery, network operations, identity management, cybersecurity alignment, and end-user technologies, vendor management, across a complex manufacturing environment.This individual will lead the strategy, architecture, operations, and modernization of a hybrid IT ecosystem spanning on-prem data centers, cloud platforms, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and corporate locations.The ideal candidate is coming with a Director title along with tenured, large scale manufacturing experience, combined with deep technical expertise, executive leadership experience and a strong background supporting manufacturing operations, ERP systems, OT integrations, and business-critical infrastructure.QUALIFICATIONSMaster of Science degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Business10+ years of IT Infrastructure leadership within a large enterprise - manufacturing industry preferredExceptional business acumen and sound financial acumen5-7+ years as a Director with experience leading Infrastructure, Operations Technology, Service Delivery, Data Center, Networking, Cybersecurity Risk & Compliance teamsExtensive Manufacturing, Industrial, Distribution, Supply Chain, or Engineering environments, long term tenured company experienceHybrid Infrastructure (On-Prem + Cloud) Microsoft AzureEnterprise NetworkingData Center OperationsIT Service Management (ITIL)Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Microsoft IntuneDisaster Recovery & Business ContinuityVendor & Budget Management Infrastructure Modernization InitiativesOverview: Sterling Engineering / Staffing has a rich history of delivering top talent to our clients.
