This position leads the IT function, overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of technology systems that support airport operations, security, communications, and business processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing IT staff, vendors, and budgets; maintaining network and infrastructure reliability; ensuring data security and compliance; and coordinating technology projects with internal departments and external partners. The Director will develop and execute IT strategies aligned with JMAA’s mission and values, assess emerging technologies for operational improvements, and establish policies, standards, and best practices for systems, applications, and data. This role also involves responding to critical incidents, optimizing user support services, and providing clear reporting and recommendations to senior leadership.Qualifications Demonstrated leadership experience in IT management, including supervising technical teams, managing budgets, and overseeing complex projects.Strong background in IT infrastructure and operations, such as network administration, server and storage management, cloud services, and endpoint management.Experience with cybersecurity practices, including access control, incident response, risk assessment, and regulatory or industry compliance.Proficiency in enterprise systems and applications, such as ERP, database administration, airport or transportation management systems, and business productivity tools.Skills in IT strategy and governance, including technology planning, policy development, vendor management, and service-level management.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments, guide non-technical stakeholders, and build strong partnerships.Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, prioritize multiple initiatives, and make data-informed decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP, ITIL) are beneficial.Experience in aviation, transportation, public sector, or similarly regulated environments is a plus, along with familiarity with airport-specific technology needs.
