This is a senior leadership role with broad responsibility across technology strategy, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, infrastructure, IT service delivery, data integration, and long-term technology investment decisions. Reporting directly to our CEO, this leader will partner across the business to understand priorities, solve problems, improve processes, and ensure technology supports growth and operational effectiveness.This is an opportunity for someone who can move comfortably between business strategy and technology execution. The right candidate will bring depth in ERP and enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems integration, and team leadership, while also knowing how to listen, ask the right questions, and turn business needs into thoughtful technology solutions.What You’ll LeadBMD’s technology strategy and long-term roadmapEnterprise applications, ERP environments, integrations, and system optimizationMajor technology initiatives and transformation effortsCybersecurity strategy, governance, and risk managementInfrastructure, endpoints, cloud services, networks, and IT service deliveryBusiness continuity, disaster recovery, and data protectionTechnology budgets, vendors, contracts, and strategic partnersDevelopment and leadership of the IT and enterprise systems teamExecutive communication on priorities, risks, project status, and performanceOpportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, customer experience, and employee experience through technology, automation, and emerging capabilitiesWhat We’re Looking ForWe are seeking an experienced technology leader with significant background across enterprise systems and IT, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, implementations, integrations, and team leadership. Experience in a multi-location, distribution, manufacturing, or similarly complex operating environment is especially relevant. Experience with both legacy ERP platforms and modern cloud-based business applications is highly valuable.The ideal candidate will bring:Strong technology leadership and business partnership skillsExperience leading enterprise systems, ERP, and technology transformation initiativesStrong understanding of cybersecurity, technology risk, disaster recovery, and data protectionExperience managing technology budgets, vendors, and strategic partnersAbility to lead and develop a technology teamStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiencesA collaborative, practical, business-first approach to technology decisionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered10+ years of progressive experience in information technology, enterprise applications, infrastructure, or related technology functionsDemonstrated experience developing and executing technology strategies aligned with business objectivesExperience leading cybersecurity, infrastructure, ERP, integrations, and enterprise system initiativesExperience leading technology teams and managing external technology partnersExperience managing technology budgets, contracts, and significant technology investmentsExperience in a multi-location, distribution, manufacturing, or similarly operationally complex environment preferredIf you're a technology leader who enjoys connecting people, process, technology, and business strategy—and you're interested in doing that within an employee-owned organization—we'd like to hear from you.About BMDAt Building Material Distributors, Inc.
