Director of Information Technology

GTN is hiring for a Director of IT & Business Systems*Location: Lockport, NY — Buffalo AreaWork Arrangement: Fully On-SiteOur client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking a hands-on Director of IT & Business Systems to lead its technology strategy, ERP environment, and IT operations.Manufacturing ERP experience is required. Epicor Kinetic experience is strongly preferred.This role partners directly with executive leadership and department heads to improve business processes, strengthen technology reliability, and support company growth. The ideal candidate combines ERP expertise with practical infrastructure knowledge and experience managing outside IT providers.What You’ll DoOwn the ERP roadmap, enhancements, upgrades, integrations, reporting, and data quality.Partner with manufacturing, finance, supply chain, engineering, and quality teams to improve production, inventory, purchasing, costing, scheduling, and traceability.Provide hands-on business systems support and coordinate ERP consultants.Oversee networks, servers/cloud, Microsoft technologies, endpoints, user support, backups, and disaster recovery.Manage the MSP, security providers, ERP partners, contracts, licensing, and technology spending.Develop a 12–36 month technology roadmap aligned with business priorities.Strengthen cybersecurity, business continuity, and systems supporting audit readiness and regulatory requirements.What You’ll Bring8+ years of progressive IT, ERP, or business systems experience.Manufacturing experience and strong ERP ownership across implementations, upgrades, integrations, or optimization.Practical knowledge of infrastructure, cybersecurity, backups, and disaster recovery.Experience managing third-party technology providers and holding vendors accountable.Strong communication, project management, and business-process improvement skills.Willingness to work fully onsite in Lockport, NY.Preferred ExperienceEpicor Kinetic configuration, administration, troubleshooting, reporting, workflows, or integrations.Packaging, plastics, food manufacturing, or another regulated manufacturing environment.SQF, food safety, traceability, or related compliance requirements.This is an opportunity for a practical technology leader who enjoys working directly with the business and taking ownership in a lean IT environment.
