The Director will personally design and develop online courses while managing client relationships, projects, and a team of contract instructional designers and developers.The successful candidate will have strong instructional design and eLearning development expertise, excellent client and project management skills, and advanced proficiency with tools such as Articulate Rise 360 and Storyline 360. This individual must be comfortable managing multiple client projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards for instructional quality, customer service, timelines, and budgets.Essential ResponsibilitiesClient ManagementServe as a primary point of contact for assigned clients throughout the design and development process.Develop strong, professional relationships with clients and subject-matter experts.Identify client business, performance, and learning needs and translate them into effective learning solutions.Establish and manage expectations regarding scope, schedules, deliverables, responsibilities, and project outcomes.Facilitate client meetings, design reviews, and project status discussions.Respond proactively to client questions, concerns, changing requirements, and project risks.Maintain a high level of client satisfaction and identify opportunities to strengthen and expand client relationships.Project ManagementManage multiple instructional design and development projects from initial scoping through final delivery.Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, resource requirements, and deliverables.Coordinate activities among clients, subject-matter experts, instructional designers, developers, and other project resources.Monitor project scope, schedules, budgets, and quality.Identify project risks and resolve issues before they affect client commitments.Provide clients and internal team members with timely and accurate project-status information.Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to established quality standards.Instructional DesignConduct needs, content, learner, and performance analyses.Translate client requirements and subject-matter expertise into effective online learning experiences.Apply adult-learning principles and established instructional-design methodologies.Develop learning objectives, course architectures, design documents, storyboards, scripts, activities, scenarios, assessments, simulations, and performance-support materials.Design learning experiences appropriate for different audiences, industries, subject areas, and levels of complexity.Collaborate effectively with subject-matter experts to transform complex or technical information into clear and engaging instruction.Incorporate appropriate methods for evaluating learner performance and instructional effectiveness.eLearning DevelopmentPersonally develop professional online learning courses using Articulate Rise 360, Storyline 360, and other development technologies.Create interactive learning experiences appropriate to instructional objectives and client requirements.Integrate graphics, audio, video, animation, simulations, and other multimedia elements when appropriate.Develop and test courses for delivery through learning management systems.Apply appropriate standards and practices related to SCORM, xAPI, accessibility, and online learning.Remain current with emerging instructional
