Director of Interior Design

Role Description The Director of Interior Design is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role oversees the end-to-end design process, from initial concept development and client briefing to detailed design, documentation, and on-site execution. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and mentoring the design team, setting creative direction, reviewing and approving design proposals, and ensuring alignment with project requirements, budget, and timelines. The Director collaborates with architects, contractors, and suppliers, coordinates construction drawings and material specifications, and maintains design quality and consistency across all projects. The role also involves engaging with clients, presenting design concepts, and strengthening Ajran Studio’s design standards and brand presence in the market.Qualifications Strong Interior Design and Architectural Design skills, with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.Proficiency in Design Management, including leading multidisciplinary teams, managing project workflows, and overseeing design delivery.Experience in Architecture and Construction Drawings, including coordination with engineering disciplines and familiarity with building codes and standards.Advanced knowledge of design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or similar) and comfort with digital collaboration platforms.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.Proven experience in a senior interior design or design leadership role, ideally with on-site project supervision in the Gulf region or similar markets.Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.Strong organizational and time-management abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering projects on schedule and within budget.Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
