If you want your clinical leadership to have a direct, visible impact on patients and on the people you lead, you will feel at home here.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Director of Nursing to lead our case management team and set the standard for how we care for patients. You will build and develop a growing team of nurse case managers, own the quality of our clinical work, and make sure every patient, provider, and partner experiences the same high level of care and communication. This is a role for an experienced nurse leader who wants to shape how a clinical team runs, not just keep it running.What You'll DoLead, develop, and grow the case management team.Set clinical standards, protocols, and quality benchmarks, and hold the team to them.Hire, onboard, and mentor nurse case managers, and build clear paths for their growth.Own quality, documentation, and compliance across the team, including HIPAA and accurate, timely records.Ensure patients are scheduled, supported, and progressing within expected care timelines.Make sure attorneys and adjusters receive clear, consistent, high-quality updates, and partner with our business development team on referral relationships.Coordinate care for your own set of patients.Drive process improvement across the department and put better tools and workflows in place.Serve as the senior clinical resource and escalation point, stepping in on the most complex cases.Partner with the CEO and leadership team on staffing, growth, and strategy.What You'll BringActive RN license in Michigan; BSN or MSN preferred.5+ years of nursing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role.Experience leading and developing clinical teams, including hiring and performance management.Knowledge of Michigan auto no-fault / PIP and personal injury case management, or a strong willingness to learn it quickly.A track record of improving quality, process, and team performance.Have a growth mindset and know how to properly manage a team. Excellent communication and the ability to work across patients, providers, attorneys, and insurers.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if travel is required for the role.What We OfferCompetitive salary: $45-$55 / hourHealth, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off 401(k) or retirement plan up to 4% matchThe chance to build and lead a team and to directly shape patient care.Ascendant Health is an equal opportunity employer.
