This position oversees all nursing services within the care community, including planning, organizing, and directing clinical operations to ensure high-quality resident care. Daily responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient care plans, monitoring compliance with regulatory and company standards, and overseeing infection control and safety protocols. The Director of Nursing collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to support optimal health outcomes and a positive living environment. This role also involves staff education, performance management, quality improvement initiatives, and participation in budgeting and resource allocation for the nursing department.QualificationsDemonstrated proficiency in Nursing Management, including leadership of nursing teams and coordination of clinical operations.Strong foundation in Nursing and Medicine to guide clinical decision-making and support evidence-based resident care.Experience in Long-term Care, with understanding of regulatory requirements, care planning, and resident-centered practices.Knowledge of Infection Control principles and practices to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.Previous supervisory or director-level experience in a skilled nursing facility, assisted living, or similar setting.Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external partners, both verbally and in writing.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and accountability.Commitment to person-centered care, compassion, and maintaining resident dignity and respect.Comfort with electronic health records and basic computer applications.
