Team members join a network committed to excellence, compassion, and continuous improvement in post-acute and long-term care.Role Description The Director of Nursing is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at Bridgemark Healthcare in O’Fallon, MO. This role oversees all nursing services, including staffing, clinical standards, and resident care outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies. The Director of Nursing manages and mentors nursing staff, coordinates orientation and ongoing training, and promotes a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Daily responsibilities include monitoring infection control practices, reviewing clinical documentation, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and addressing resident and family concerns. The Director of Nursing also participates in quality assurance initiatives, contributes to care planning, supports long-term care programs, and helps guide organizational strategy for clinical excellence.Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Nursing Management and leadership in skilled nursing or long-term care settings.Strong clinical background in Nursing and Medicine, with the ability to guide evidence-based care for geriatric populations.Knowledge of Infection Control principles and practices, including surveillance, prevention, and staff education.Experience in Long-term Care environments, with understanding of regulatory requirements and resident-centered care models.Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri, with eligibility to practice in a long-term care facility.Several years of progressive nursing leadership experience, preferably as a Director of Nursing, Assistant DON, or Nurse Manager.Strong communication, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams.Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation standards, with attention to detail and data-driven decision-making.Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain composure in high-pressure situations, and uphold resident dignity and safety.Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; advanced certifications in gerontology, leadership, or infection control are a plus.
